Plas y Brenin – The National Mountain Centre

Plas y Brenin is managed by the Mountain Training Trust. MTT is a registered charity, set up by the British Mountaineering Council, the Mountain leader Training Board, and the United Kingdom Mountain Training Board, specifically to run the centre. Plas y Brenin is under the direct management of the organisations whose members are the key users of the centre and its facilities.

As the UK’s leading provider of climbing instructor qualifications, Plas y Brenin deliver top quality instructor training at Climbing Centre group venues, conveniently situated in Manchester, Harrogate and Reading.

National Trust

The National Trust have been protecting the UK’s heritage and open spaces for over a hundred years. Their remit includes many key climbing areas and the Climbing Centre Group work in conjunction with the trust in providing climbing activities in several of these areas, including Brimham Rocks and the Malham Tarn Estate in Yorkshire and the  Marsden Moor Estate on the edge of the Peak District.
