This half term, we have a host of great activities for kids of all ages. Our kids clubs are a great way to keep active over the holidays, and a really good way to try climbing if you haven’t already!

Here at Reading Climbing Centre, we are happy to announce that not only are we starting the new year with a new term of NICAS but also introducing our first set of dates of the new National Indoor Bouldering Scheme, NIBAS! As of September 2014, the Climbing Centre Group, including Reading, Manchester and Harrogate became one of the first centres to be Primary Centres of both NICAS & NIBAS!!!
The National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme (NICAS) is a UK wide scheme designed to promote climbing development and accredit individual achievement on artificial climbing structures. It can be used as a starting point for people wishing to take up climbing and mountaineering. It is open to all candidates aged 7 and upwards.
The National Indoor Bouldering Award Scheme (NIBAS) is a nationwide Scheme designed to provide a structured progression for complete novices through to experienced indoor boulderers. The Scheme focuses introducing new and young climbers to the skills associated with climbing on artificial climbing walls without the use of harnesses or ropes. It is open to candidates aged 7 and upwards.
